Lumen Bioscience has reported results from the P-II (RePreve) trial evaluating oral LMN-201 vs PBO, given during & after SoC antibiotics, in pts (N=45; Part A: 22, Part B: 23) with C. difficile infection (CDI); Part B was a 1:1 randomized, double-blind, PBO-controlled cohort
In Part B, global cure was achieved in 83.3% (10/12) of LMN-201 recipients vs 36.4% (4/11) on PBO (47-percentage-point risk difference; OR: 8.75), statistically significant per the prespecified Bayesian analysis, with CDI recurrence of 9.1% vs 55.6%; primary cure failure was reduced by >50% (OR: 0.425; 2EP, not statistically significant)
LMN-201 was well tolerated, with AE rates similar to PBO & no drug-related SAEs or deaths; LMN-201 is an oral biologic cocktail of three toxin-binding proteins & an antibacterial enzyme produced in engineered spirulina, & further data will be presented as a late-breaking oral presentation at IDWeek 2026 on Oct 24, 2026
