Shots:
L’OrĂ©al, EstĂ©e Lauder and AbbVie lead with USD 19,227.7M, 6,962.0M and 4,860.0M of FY2025 skin revenue, holding 58.0% of the USD 53,490.3M top-20 total
Medicine-backed lines led: Beiersdorf Derma +11.7% organic, Galderma Injectable Aesthetics +11.5% cc. Beiersdorf estimates global skin care grew around 1.5-2%; Estée Lauder Skin Care fell 12%
PharmaShots ranks companies on one rule: FY2025 reported revenue from the narrowest disclosed skin care, dermocosmetics, sun care or aesthetics line, with nothing estimated
Note: Ranks and companies are shown with FY2025 revenue of the qualifying skin care, dermocosmetics, sun care or aesthetics line in USD M, converted at 31 December 2025 exchange rates. Growth for every company is shown below.
20. Bloomage Biotech
Skin Segment Revenue: $0.35B
Qualifying Line: Skin science innovation (functional skincare) and skin-type medical products
Reported Revenue (FY2025): RMB 2,425.2M (1,487.2 + 938) (USD 346.8M)
FY2025 Growth: -42.11% functional skincare; -12.55% skin-type medical products
Share of Top-20 Total: 0.6%
Key Brands: Biohyalux, Quadha, Runzhi
Bloomage Biotech ranks 20th with RMB 2,425.2M (USD 346.8M) from functional skincare (RMB 1,487.2M) and skin-type medical products (RMB 938M).
Both lines shrank. Functional skincare fell 42.11% as Bloomage cut sales-driven marketing and dropped lower-return brands; skin-type medical products fell 12.55% amid tougher competition. Net profit attributable rose 67.6% to RMB 292M.
Bloomage enters the ranking on a shrinking base. Watch whether the refocused skincare brands return to growth.
19. InMode
Skin Segment Revenue: $0.37B
Qualifying Line: Company total
Reported Revenue (FY2025): USD 370.5M
FY2025 Growth: -6%
Share of Top-20 Total: 0.7%
InMode ranks 19th with USD 370.5M of total company revenue.
Minimally invasive platforms brought in USD 289.0M, non-invasive USD 74.1M and hands-free USD 7.4M.
Device demand follows clinic financing and patient demand, which leaves InMode exposed to a downturn in capital equipment spending.
18. Bausch Health
Skin Segment Revenue: $0.52B
Qualifying Line: Solta Medical
Reported Revenue (FY2025): USD 518.0M
FY2025 Growth: +18%
Share of Top-20 Total: 1.0%
Key Brands: Thermage
Bausch Health’s Solta Medical ranks 18th with USD 518.0M, led by Thermage.
Growth was led by South Korea. Q4 was flat (-1%), affected by the acquisition of its China distribution.
Solta is the fastest-growing ranked aesthetics line, consistent with demand for aesthetics in Asia, and one of Bausch Health’s strongest assets.
17. Perrigo
Skin Segment Revenue: $0.62B
Qualifying Line: Skin Care
Reported Revenue (FY2025): USD 622.6M
FY2025 Growth: -2.4% Americas, -0.6% International
Share of Top-20 Total: 1.2%
Perrigo ranks 17th with USD 622.6M from its Skin Care category, which is reported across its Americas and International segments.
Skin Care fell 2.4% in the Americas and 0.6% internationally.
A store-brand and OTC skin portfolio that shrank in both regions has scale without growth.
16. Puig
Skin Segment Revenue: $0.65B
Qualifying Line: Skincare
Reported Revenue (FY2025): EUR 551.2M (USD 646.9M)
FY2025 Growth: +7.3% reported, +8.9% LFL
Share of Top-20 Total: 1.2%
Key Brands: Uriage, Apivita, Charlotte Tilbury skincare
Puig ranks 16th with EUR 551.2M (USD 646.9M) from its Skincare segment, which includes Uriage, Apivita and Charlotte Tilbury skincare.
Uriage grew double digits. Segment operating profit was EUR 33M, a 6.0% margin.
The segment is small and low-margin, and buying the rest of ISDIN addresses both. On FY2025 figures, Puig plus ISDIN would be a USD 1,407.0M skin business.
15. Yunnan Botanee
Skin Segment Revenue: $0.65B
Qualifying Line: Skincare
Reported Revenue (FY2025): RMB 4,575.3M (USD 654.3M)
FY2025 Growth: -4.71%
Share of Top-20 Total: 1.2%
Key Brands: Winona
Yunnan Botanee ranks 15th with RMB 4,575.3M (USD 654.3M) from Skincare, led by the sensitive-skin brand Winona.
Group revenue fell 6.58%, while net profit attributable rose 0.53% to RMB 505.7M.
Botanee is protecting profit as China’s online skincare channels slow. It is a cash-generative sensitive-skin leader that needs a new growth line.
14. Edgewell
Skin Segment Revenue: $0.74B
Qualifying Line: Sun and Skin Care
Reported Revenue (FY2025): USD 743.1M (FY to Sep 2025)
FY2025 Growth: +0.3%
Share of Top-20 Total: 1.4%
Key Brands: Banana Boat, Hawaiian Tropic, Bulldog, Billie
Edgewell ranks 14th with USD 743.1M from its Sun and Skin Care segment.
The segment grew 0.3%, well below the market growth Beiersdorf estimates.
It is a scaled sun care and skin business with scale but not growth.
13. ISDIN
Skin Segment Revenue: $0.76B
Qualifying Line: Company total
Reported Revenue (FY2025): EUR 647.7M (USD 760.1M)
FY2025 Growth: +0.8%
Share of Top-20 Total: 1.4%
ISDIN ranks 13th with EUR 647.7M (USD 760.1M), the company total reported by Spanish business press.
Sales were flat and profit fell 14%. On 14 September 2026, Puig agreed to buy Esteve’s 50% stake for EUR 1.2B, with closing expected by end Q1 2027.
The ownership change matters more than the flat year. It turns a joint venture into a wholly owned Puig platform.
12. Giant Biogene
Skin Segment Revenue: $0.79B
Qualifying Line: Professional skin care products
Reported Revenue (FY2025): RMB 5,496.8M (USD 786.0M)
FY2025 Growth: -0.4%
Share of Top-20 Total: 1.5%
Key Brands: Comfy, Collgene
Giant Biogene ranks 12th with RMB 5,496.8M (USD 786.0M) from professional skin care products, built on its recombinant collagen brands Comfy and Collgene.
Revenue was flat after years of growth. Comfy was RMB 4,470.0M and Collgene RMB 917.9M. Net profit fell 7.1% to RMB 1,914.7M.
At a 34.7% net margin, it remains one of the most profitable franchises in skin care. But reliance on one brand now shows in growth, and the next phase depends on moving beyond Comfy.
11. Chicmax
Skin Segment Revenue: $1.04B
Qualifying Line: Skincare
Reported Revenue (FY2025): RMB 7,288.9M (USD 1,042.3M)
FY2025 Growth: +23.1%
Share of Top-20 Total: 1.9%
Key Brands: KANS, newpage
Chicmax ranks 11th with RMB 7,288.9M (USD 1,042.3M) from Skincare, led by KANS and newpage.
Group revenue rose 35.1%. KANS reached RMB 7,359.6M (+31.6%) on peptide anti-ageing products, and newpage reached RMB 879.6M.
Chicmax has the fastest-growing scaled skincare line and took share as Proya and Botanee lost it. It shows that a brand built on one claim can scale in China in a down market.
10. Proya
Skin Segment Revenue: $1.17B
Qualifying Line: Skincare
Reported Revenue (FY2025): RMB 8,181.7M (USD 1,170.0M)
FY2025 Growth: -9.28%
Share of Top-20 Total: 2.2%
Proya ranks tenth with RMB 8,181.7M (USD 1,170.0M) from Skincare. It is China’s largest listed domestic skincare line.
Skincare fell 9.28% after growing 19.3% in 2024. Makeup grew 14.9% and hair and body care 117.9%. Net profit attributable fell 3.50% to RMB 1.498B.
Proya’s growth has moved out of skincare. Watch whether the core line stabilises or the shift to other categories continues.
9. Rohto Pharmaceutical
Skin Segment Revenue: $1.21B
Qualifying Line: Skincare products
Reported Revenue (FY2025): JPY 190,486M (USD 1,214.8M), FY to Mar 2025 [9]
FY2025 Growth: +7.7%
Share of Top-20 Total: 2.3%
Share of Group Sales: 61.7%
Rohto ranks ninth with JPY 190,486M (USD 1,214.8M) from Skincare products, 61.7% of group sales.
Skincare is Rohto’s largest category, and it grew faster than the market. In the fiscal year to March 2026 it reached JPY 196,923M, against a restated JPY 186,182M.
It is the largest Japanese line that discloses a skincare value. Rohto is a pharma company whose skincare business now outweighs its origins.
8. Bayer
Skin Segment Revenue: $1.67B
Qualifying Line: Consumer Health Dermatology
Reported Revenue (FY2025): EUR 1,424M (USD 1,671.2M) [8]
FY2025 Growth: -1.0% reported, +2.4% adjusted
Share of Top-20 Total: 3.1%
Key Brands: Bepanthen, Canesten
Bayer ranks eighth with EUR 1,424M (USD 1,671.2M) from Consumer Health Dermatology. It is a large pharmacy skin franchise built on Bepanthen and Canesten.
Adjusted growth of 2.4% became a 1.0% reported decline after currency effects.
The franchise grew with the market, not ahead of it. It is reliable but not a growth leader. On FY2025 figures, a combined Puig and ISDIN would rank just below it.
7. Beiersdorf
Skin Segment Revenue: $1.75B
Qualifying Line: Derma
Reported Revenue (FY2025): EUR 1,492M (USD 1,751.0M) [7]
FY2025 Growth: +8.8% nominal, +11.7% organic
Share of Top-20 Total: 3.3%
Key Brands: Eucerin, Aquaphor
Beiersdorf ranks seventh with EUR 1,492M (USD 1,751.0M) from its Derma brands, Eucerin and Aquaphor.
Derma posted its fifth straight year of double-digit organic growth and gained share in all regions. NIVEA grew 0.9% and La Prairie fell 4.5%.
Derma grew at least five times faster than the market Beiersdorf itself estimates, and it is now the group’s growth engine. Professional-recommendation brands should benchmark against it.
6. Pierre Fabre
Skin Segment Revenue: $2.01B
Qualifying Line: Dermo-Cosmetics & Personal Care
Reported Revenue (FY2025): EUR 1,711M (USD 2,008.0M)
FY2025 Growth: +2.6% reported, +4.4% cc
Share of Top-20 Total: 3.8%
Pierre Fabre ranks sixth with EUR 1,711M (USD 2,008.0M) from its Dermo-Cosmetics & Personal Care division. It is the most consistent independent dermocosmetics player in the ranking.
Avène grew 3.9% and passed EUR 1B, with growth of 10.7% in China and 9.2% in the US. Ducray grew 9.3%.
Steady growth above the market, with a strong position in China, is the consistency profile that partners value.
5. Galderma
Skin Segment Revenue: $4.02B
Qualifying Line: Injectable Aesthetics and Dermatological Skincare
Reported Revenue (FY2025): USD 4,021.0M (2,572.0 + 1,449.0)
FY2025 Growth: +11.5% cc and +9.3% cc by line
Share of Top-20 Total: 7.5%
Key Brands: Dysport, Relfydess, Restylane, Sculptra, Cetaphil, Alastin
Galderma ranks fifth with USD 4,021.0M from Injectable Aesthetics and Dermatological Skincare. It is the only pure-play dermatology company at this scale and the fastest-growing of the top five.
Neuromodulators grew 14.3% cc to USD 1,471M as Relfydess launched in 17 international markets. Cetaphil gained share in Asia, and Alastin grew double digits in the US.
Aesthetics, skincare and Rx under one professional sales model outgrew each single part. Watch FY2026 against the 17-20% cc growth guidance, and the FDA decision on Relfydess.
4. Kenvue
Skin Segment Revenue: $4.11B
Qualifying Line: Skin Health and Beauty
Reported Revenue (FY2025): USD 4,114.0M
FY2025 Growth: -3.0% reported, -2.7% organic
Share of Top-20 Total: 7.7%
Key Brands: Neutrogena, Aveeno, Dr.Ci:Labo
Kenvue ranks fourth with USD 4,114.0M from Skin Health and Beauty. The segment includes Neutrogena and Aveeno, two of the largest dermatologist-recommended mass skincare brands in the US.
Sales fell on lower volume, but Q4 returned to 1.5% organic growth. Kimberly-Clark’s acquisition of Kenvue is expected to close in Q4 2026.
While dermocosmetic lines grew elsewhere, a dermatologist recommendation on the mass shelf was not enough. Watch whether Kimberly-Clark still reports a separate skin line.
3. AbbVie
Skin Segment Revenue: $4.86B
Qualifying Line: Aesthetics
Reported Revenue (FY2025): USD 4,860.0M
FY2025 Growth: -6.1%
Share of Top-20 Total: 9.1%
Key Brands: Botox Cosmetic USD 2,602M, Juvéderm USD 993M
AbbVie ranks third with USD 4,860.0M from its Aesthetics line. It is the largest medical aesthetics business in the world.
US Botox Cosmetic fell 10.5% to USD 1,504M, while international rose 5.7%. JuvĂ©derm fell 15.6%. In the same year, Galderma’s neuromodulators grew 14.3% cc.
Aesthetics behaves like a consumer-discretionary business even inside a pharma company. AbbVie also lost share, not just volume. Watch US Botox Cosmetic each quarter.
2. Estée Lauder
Skin Segment Revenue: $6.96B
Qualifying Line: Skin Care
Reported Revenue (FY2025): USD 6,962.0M (FY to Jun 2025)
FY2025 Growth: -12%
Share of Top-20 Total: 13.0%
Key Brands: Estée Lauder, La Mer, Clinique
Estée Lauder ranks second with USD 6,962.0M from its Skin Care category. It is the largest prestige skincare business in the ranking.
Skin Care fell 12%, the company’s largest category decline. The fall came mainly from the EstĂ©e Lauder and La Mer brands, with lower travel-retail sales in Asia a main driver.
Prestige positioning alone did not protect revenue in 2025. Recovery depends on rebuilding or replacing the travel-retail and China channels.
1. L’OrĂ©al
Skin Segment Revenue: $19.23B
Qualifying Line: Skincare and sun care
Reported Revenue (FY2025): EUR 16,383.5M (USD 19,227.7M)
FY2025 Growth: -2.5% reported, +0.4% LFL
Share of Top-20 Total: 35.9%
Key Brands: La Roche-Posay, CeraVe, Vichy, SkinCeuticals, LancĂ´me, Kiehl’s, Garnier
L’OrĂ©al ranks first with EUR 16,383.5M (USD 19,227.7M) from its Skincare and sun care line. It is the largest skin business in the ranking by a wide margin.
Group skincare was flat at +0.4% LFL. The Dermatological Beauty Division (EUR 7,204.1M) grew 5.5% LFL, and 11.5% in Q4. SkinCeuticals passed EUR 1B.
L’OrĂ©al reports a 25.8% share of global dermocosmetics, and its own numbers show value moving to clinically backed brands. Executives should track the Dermatological Beauty line, not group skincare.
Criteria (applied to every company).
1. Scope.
In scope:
Skin care (facial and body care, including sun care) across mass, prestige and dermocosmetic positioning.
Dermatological skin care and dermocosmetics.
Consumer (OTC) topical skin-health products.
Medical aesthetics: injectables, aesthetic energy-based devices and physician-dispensed skincare.
Excluded:
Revenue lines covering only cleansing products.
Prescription dermatology, shown in a reference box.
Makeup, fragrance, hair care, deodorant and oral care.
Home-use beauty devices.
Devices for non-skin uses.
Contract manufacturers
Retailers and telehealth.
Supply revenue to another ranked company.
2. Revenue basis. FY2025 is the latest full fiscal year ending between 1 January and 31 December 2025. We use net sales as originally reported, from the narrowest publicly disclosed qualifying line or sum of lines.
3. Mixed segments.
A line qualifies only if the company’s own label, or its own description of the line in the filing, identifies it as skin care, dermatology/dermocosmetics, sun care or medical aesthetics.
Brand lines and broad lines (beauty, cosmetics, personal care, consumer health, medical devices) do not qualify.
Qualifying lines are added together. A qualifying line that contains some non-skin products is counted in full and flagged “mixed”. We never carve out, split or estimate a portion, and percentages are not converted into values.
A company total is used only where the filing describes the whole business as skin or aesthetics.
4. Sources. Company filings, annual reports, results releases and company publications. Press figures are used only for private companies that publish nothing, and are marked (ISDIN).
5. Currency. US Federal Reserve H.10 noon buying rates in New York for 31 December 2025, for all companies:
EUR 1 = USD 1.1736
USD 1 = CNY 6.9931
USD 1 = KRW 1,444.55
USD 1 = JPY 156.80
USD 1 = DKK 6.3640
USD-reporting companies are not converted. FY2025 figures for companies with non-December year ends are also converted at the 31 December 2025 rate.
6. Not ranked. Companies with no FY2025 figure or no qualifying line are listed below with the reason.
7. Cut-off and corrections. Data cut-off is 29 October 2026. Companies may submit audited figures to connect@pharmashots.com.
Considered but Not Ranked
No qualifying line under criterion (c).
APR (Medicube). APR’s reported cosmetics line (KRW 1,077.B) combines skincare with makeup, fragrance and other categories and is not labelled skin care, so it does not qualify. Its home beauty device line (KRW 407.0B) is outside the category. The same rule applies to all companies; for example, Shiseido and Amorepacific are not ranked because they do not report a revenue line labelled skin care.
Pharma Research. Its medical device line combines Rejuran (facial) with Conjuran (knee joint injection), and its cosmetics line is a broad label.
Pola Orbis. Beauty Care JPY 164.1B, which includes makeup brand THREE.
Nu Skin. “Beauty” USD 568.1m, which includes devices and cosmetics.
Shanghai Jahwa. No skincare line.
Others: LVMH (Perfumes & Cosmetics), Kao (Health & Beauty Care), Kose, LG H&H, Natura &Co.
